The project comprised the demolition of derelict industrial buildings and the construction of two retail warehouses on the site. Although a Planning Approval was in place at the time of the commission a number of conditions required resolution and the timescale of the project was extremely tight. The project was primarily an exercise in fast-track design and construction and the Practice had to ensure that the correct information was passed to the Contractor in sufficient time and in the appropriate sequence. Teamwork and cooperation were very much the watchwords of this contract.
